ICC World Cup 2015 Quarter-final Teams, Venues, Schedule


World Cup 2015, which began on February 14, saw 42 matches played in the round-robin phase. Several records were shattered and the tournament's first ever double century too arrived. Now, 8 sides will battle it out and by March 21, four will be packing their bags and heading home. (Reserve day rules for knockouts)


The last-8 phase kicks off on March 18 (Wednesday) in Sydney. Three games are in Australia and the last one in New Zealand where the hosts are playing at Wellington. (What happens if a quarter-final ends in a tie?) New Zealand, India, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies and Pakistan are the 8 teams to have made the knockouts. Pakistan were the last team to make the cut today (March 15) after defeating Ireland in a must-win clash. The six outfits which failed to progress are England, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates and Scotland. Scotland and United Arab Emirates failed to win a single game while India and New Zealand won all their Pool matches (6 out of 6). Here is the quarter-finals schedule (All times in IST) 1.
